Christopher Renkel is a trial attorney with experience in the bankruptcy, criminal, and civil courts. He has represented clients in the United States Bankruptcy Court, State Courts and many Municipal courts in Ohio. Mr. Renkel handles consumer bankruptcy filings under both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 of Title 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Mr. Renkel also handles criminal defense matters, including traffic and OVI defense, as well as civil litigation including property damage cases, commercial collection actions, and contract dispute suits.

Mr. Renkel has experience in labor contract negotiations under the Railway Labor Act and has participated in highly successful contract talks under the auspices of the National Mediation Board. Mr. Renkel has held positions as an officer and director of the Air Line Pilots Association, and has served in numerous primary and support roles during collective bargaining. Additionally, he is an experienced professional pilot and holds the Federal Aviation Administration’s highest certification as an Airline Transport Pilot, as well as being an FAA Certified Flight Instructor.

Mr. Renkel is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and has attended the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and seminars on negotiation, mediation/arbitration, and media communications at the National Labor College (formerly the George Meany Center for Labor Studies.) He is a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, the West Shore Bar Association, the Lawyer-Pilot Bar Association, and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Renkel is admitted to the bar of the State of Ohio and the United States District Court Northern District of Ohio.
